The Quick Fix or the Real Heal…

Our office is geared toward getting the community to a state of wellness. There are so many options when it comes to living a healthier life, but the community only has access to a small amount of information. Many providers in today’s healthcare system are failing the general public simply by not approaching health as a long-term and constant evolving adventure.

As people, we’re often geared toward fixing the problem quickly. Picture this scenario: When you get hurt, you want the pain to go away as fast as possible. You may ask yourself, what should I do to make the pain subside. If it is more severe, you will likely seek care at a doctor’s office. The doctor tells you to apply an ointment and rest and the pain should subside in a few days. Then you do the same thing a month later, and this time, the pain is worse than the first episode. In this case, the problem started long before you actually got hurt, and the problem has worsened since your doctor did not approach the right question: what was the cause?

Care at a traditional physical therapy office or chiropractic office can often have a cookie-cutter approach. This means that if you have a certain condition, you may receive a very similar treatment plan as someone with a complaint in a complete different part of the body. Typically, at these offices, you may likely notice that your care plans last several months…of course they do! They likely did not apply any change in your treatment! We want to make sure that what we are doing is working best for your direction toward wellness. The doctors here will check in with you often, to gain a better idea of the direction of your treatment. If something is not working, we will change directions. Part of our philosophy is to ensure we have enough tools to provide treatment to each diagnosis we reach, and we will work tirelessly to make sure your treatment plan works best for you!

Here at Salt and Spine, we start with “what was the cause,” we actually try to figure out what came first, the chicken or the egg.  From the minute you enter the room for your new patient exam, our physicians analyze everything in your life that you tell them to best answer this question. From diet, stress, posture, traumas, etc., they will piece together your story to address the cause of your pains. Once the cause(s) are identified, the symptoms can best be tackled.

Full body assessments are important to understand how your body is working as a unit. Salt and Spine looks at everything to see if something somewhere else in the body is contributing to the regional pain. This is how we address the root cause of the issue. Our doctors are extremely thorough when conducting exams, and will educate you on the impact your body has on itself. Contact us today to start your journey toward wellness!
