Different neck conditions and their symptoms can vary greatly. Common cervical complaints that should be addressed include:

    • Dull or sharp pain in the neck

    • Numbness and/or tingling in the shoulder or arm
    • Pain that restricts your ability to move your head and neck through its normal range of motion
    • Pain that restricts your ability to perform your normal activities of daily living.

The neck adjustment can be performed in many different ways. Our physicians will talk to you through every movement, providing explanations and reassurance for a comfortable adjustment. Chiropractic care can be key to restoring range of motion and reducing pain in your cervical spine and our doctors are ready to help you with any neck pain you may have!

Thoracic Spinal Pain

The thoracic area in the middle/upper back is the largest section of the spine from the base of your neck to the bottom of your ribs. The thoracic spine and connected ribs are supported by a plethora of muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Pain to this area can manifest as:

  • Pain radiating around one or both sides of the rib cage
  • Numbness or pain around the chest wall
  • Notable loss of range of motion
  • Muscle spasms in the upper back and middle back
  • Inability to maintain upright posture due to pain or stiffness

Rib cage pain is typically triggered by physical exertion as small as taking a deep breath due to the expansion of your lungs. There can be many causes of pain in these regions and it is important to have an assessment in order to stay on top of your symptoms.

Lumbar Spine Pain

Lower back pain can present with many different types of pain. From postural changes causing lingering persistent pains, to disc herniations that may result in traveling pain, lower back pain is a growing concern in our population. Affecting approximately 80% of Americans in their lifetime, lower back pain should not be ignored, as it could indicate more serious conditions (If you experience muscle weakness or loss of bladder or bowel control, seek medical help immediately.) Ongoing chronic lower back pain can potentially worsen resulting in radicular symptoms into the legs. It is important to have your case examined to develop a management plan in order to prevent this from happening. If you already suffer from these symptoms, it is not too late to begin managing your lower back pain. Our board-certified chiropractors can help
reduce acute and chronic pain and guide you through long term recovery and maintenance.
